Now that you have this 21st century super machine at your place with a connection to the planet's biggest network -Internet then you shouldn't waste time only on gaming,movies,music and chatting.Try to explore the world of coding,programing web-designing and if your tastes are different then too thers lot more you can do.

Blogging/web-design:
There is lot of scope in these fields and the best part is all the tools,tricks,tips,software and platforms are available on the internet in easy to use and understand format and is for free.Blogging can not only help you to gain more knowledge about the topic you choose to blog about but it also enhances your writing skills and vocabulary.You might also end up making a lot of friends in this process and adding to it you'll have a good knowledge about how things work over the internet.Theres also lot of scope for earning with 0$ investment just for the reason that Adsense + Blogging = money making machine if you get it right but remember rome wasn't built in a day and so this may also take time depending on your efforts.

Programing:
Ever wonder how all this stuff inside your PC works ..the games,softwares,playingmusic/movies,installations,downloading,uploading,chatting and everything else??This is all due to code and software programs which are quite complex to a certain extent.Invest time in learning these programing languages as the IT industry is growing at a rate of 20% and providing employment to millions around the world.

Read read read until your eyes hurt I don't know who wrote this but is really good if you put it too a lil bit of practice.Type into google whatever you feel like when you are sitting idol and read about things you can also refer wikipedia and believe me this starts a chain reaction as it sends you from page to page about more data and facts.Just try this and try to search about things you don't have any idea I know it sounds strange but start and it will take you along.

Earning Online:
Don't fall pray to work from home,earn so and so $$ per day programs as theres really less guarantee of it being real.Although there are some survey programs which I guess works sometimes but still theres no proof for this.You can also choose to become a freelancer in writing,web-designing and graphics and help those in need and yes this can fetch you a good some if you can work well,but remember to get organized and show your potential through a blog by posting your work there first and also having people to trust in you.

Biggest terror attack on India in Mumbai

Being a resident of mumbai I had to just write on this..its been more than 30hrs and the struggle between NSG,terrorists and the police force is still on.What is happening acutually I can't understand as different news channels have their different reports.No official number of people dead or injured has yet been announced.Mumbai police force has lost some of its best men in the battle and the sad part is that they became victims to fault helmets and useless bullet proof jackets which could only resist stone pelting and not bullets from sophisticated firearms read the headline in a local newspaper.Schools and colleges though ordered to be open by the government on friday 28th nov I don't believe any students have travelled far for them.The
attack is being termed as India's 9-11 or just the biggest terror strike on the country.A quote says its al-qaeda's battle against USA on the Indian soil because most of the foreigners were captured by the militants.No terror attack has caused so much fear as much as this one,the most dangerous part was bullets being fired on the roads and stations by super-armed youngsters aged 20-25 not showing any mercy.Terror attacks which were confide to trains,buses and carried out secretly have come open on the streets.World politicians condemed the act like always.

TYPES OF BLOGS I've come acRoss.

This post of mine is to put together all different categories of blogs I've come across the internet or the blogosphere to me more specific.This should also help you in selecting the niche in case you want to be a blogger if not then its gonna give you some extra knowledge about blogs.

  • Tips blog:This category dominates the blogosphere and I don't think anyone can deny this,every second blog you come across is a tip blog even though the name may not sound so.There are so many things on the planet to give tips about that I feel this is the only reason bloggers choose this theme or niche for their writing.The category includes everything you can think of:computers,gadgets,health,gaming consoles,windows,photoshop,blogging,writing,gardening,house keeping,mothering,Seo(search engine optimization),online earning,adsense,google,programing,dating etc.Traffic is widely divided over these blogs but still there is good scope to have alot of it.

  • Compilations:A collection blog where the author collects all things he is interested in.These blogs have good traffic scope I feel as the author would get people who are really interested in things hes collecting.A tip blog can also be viewed as a compilation of tips but these also include jokes,puzzles,stories,images clicked by the blog owner or the ones photoshopped by him (if thats a verb).Such blogs have more chances of being marked duplicate by search engines as the content would be something just copied from somewhere which adds the possibility of others doing the same.

  • News blogs:These blogs are the ones who claim to be updated on all the happenings which make headlines around the world,be in US elections or world market recession the authors try to put everything together.I don't understand why in world someone who visit such a blog and a person create such one when there are so many news channels doing the same with live video,beautiful journalists and expert views..could be people love to give their own views about things going on.

  • Movies/Celeb blogs:These ones would generally review new movies or appreciate or criticize how foolish were the old ones ..on and on its something good to blog on if you are really that humorous plus a good writer.They also follow celebrities and make a note about their lives.

  • Personal blogs:These are the ones who don't have any traffic because they don't try and want to have it as they are just digital diaries of people typing their lives,experiences,favorite time pass and daily routine on the blog.

Ways to be happy

I agree,being happy is not some task which can be performed well by reading something about it on the net but these suggestions should boost your spirits:
  • Count your blessings:
    "If the only prayer you said all your life was thank you then it was worth it"-Anonymous.
We tend to take a lot of things life has given for granted but actually being alive and having food to eat and water to drink and many other basic necessities makes our life wonderful than the millions of people who are devoid of these.So always be thankful for everything you've got.
  • Cultivate a hobby:This one is the best you can do to be content with yourself as a hobby is something which you like,you are good at or would like to learn about it.It could be anything - playing some musical instrument,drawing,reading or just something you enjoy.Hobbies can refresh you when you are tired or just life your mood when its down.
  • Family matters:Your family and close friends are the people you have spent most of your life with.They know you,understand you and care for you ..being with them sharing about your life with them or just remembering and talking about the good times you had with them can make you happy.
  • Having SEx:Don't go wild about this one ..but research has proved that having good and enough of sex releases certain hormones which act like stress busters and give you the much needed fun.
  • Exercise:Simple stretches and walks can help you maintain good health and relieve tension in your muscles which builds up due to stress.
  • Have confidence:Believe in your self,recognize your talents and strengths and work to improve them and learn new things in life...never give up to negative criticism of others such people are either jealous of you or they just cannot appreciate you..so don't underestimate yourself because of them.

Clear your throat

Throat infections can strike anytime.It helps to be protective!
  • Beware of your toothbrush.Left overnight,it can be potential risk.Before brushing,soak it in glass of hot water to which a teaspoonful of common salt has been added.
  • Chew a clove every morning (after removing the 'flower') to ensure daily protection.
  • Take half cup of hot water,add a pinch of salt and five grams of turmeric powder to it.Drink this mixture every night during this season to protect your throat.
  • Inculcate the habit of gurgling with a glass of lukewarm water to which a pinch of salt has been added every night before bedtime, after brushing your teeth.This will help disinfect the throat and mouth.
  • People travelling on work can benefit immensely by wearing masks while on the move.
  • Drinking a lot of fluid will help, but stay away from sodas and drinks that contain caffeine as these tend to dehydrate you.If swallowing becomes painful, sip hot broth through a straw.Certain kinds of gelatin,like Jell-O,may bring some relief.
  • Getting some extra rest usually speeds up recovery.
To avoid a sore throat,or colds and flu,follow these rules:
  • Wash your hands often.
  • As much as you can ,keep your distance from people who are ill.
  • Don't share eating utensils,glasses,napkins,food or towels.
  • Humidify your home if air is dry.
  • Regularly clean surfaces in your home:telephones,TV remotes,computer keyboards, and surfaces or sinks in the kitchen or bathrooms.

distress to de-stress

A combination stress,work and poor lifestyle habits,lead to chronic diseases.Take the example of the down turn in global economy,which has led to erosion of individual's morale.

WHAT IS STRESS?
Stress can be defined as the response of human being to any change or demand.Whether the demand of stress is positive or negative,the body responds automatically.The stress response is coordinated in the body by a part of the nervous system called autonomic (or automatic) nervous system.Stress is not necessarily harmful,in fact,some amount is needed for us to achieve our full potential.However,there is a very fine line between stress and distress.

CAUSE AND EFFECT.
The cause is called the 'stressor'.Stressors can be real or imagined.Most things you worry about life never happen.The source of stressor may be social,psychological,or physical.Examples of stressors are.

SOCIAL STRESSORS
  • Relationships with friends and family
  • Relationships with boss/co-workers
  • Time constraints
  • Demands and expectations or others
PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESSORS
  • Worries
  • Feelings
  • Fears
  • Decisions
  • Boredom
  • Frustrations
  • Confidence/self-esteem
PHYSICAL STRESSORS
  • Noise
  • Weather (too hot,too cold)
  • Traffic
  • Over-crowding
  • Health problems
  • Lack of sleep
DEALING WITH STRESS:
Alcohol and smoking both tend to actually speed up our heart rate and blood pressure,rather than calm down the body.Hence during periods of stress it is better to avoid them rather than depend on them.

EXERCISING AWAY STRESS
Physical activity can reduce the effect of the harmful by-products by using them as nature intended - for increased activity.Exercise reduces the duration and intensity of the stress response and helps the body return to a relaxed and balanced state.

EXERCISE TIPS FOR STRESS MANAGEMENT
  • Exercising at the end of the day
  • Avoid aggressive physical activities
  • Aerobic activities make the vital organs of the body such as the heart,lungs, and circulatory system stronger and stress proof.
DEEP BREATHING AND MEDITATION
Shallow and rapid breathing are a natural responses to stress.With shallow breathing,less oxygen is taken in with each breath.Deep breathing can reverse this effect, it can also help relieve stress-related headaches,backaches,stomaches, and sleeplessness.The best time for meditation are before breakfast or before dinner in the evening.Begin with a 10-minute session and gradually work up to 20mins.

PROGRESSIVE MUSCLE RELAXATION
Progressive muscle relaxation helps you become more aware of where muscle tension is in your body.It can also help calm other reactions to stress,such as rapid breathing and a fast pulse.

STRETCHING
Your muscles tighten in response to success.When the tension is help in the muscles are not used,waste products remain to cause pain and discomfort.Most people hold tension in their head,neck and shoulder areas called the 'stress triangle'.The base of the triangle is the mid points between your shoulder and your neck.The top of the triangle is on your forehead between your eyes.
Performing 6-12 repetitions of these simple stretches and rolls can help you relieve tightness in your stress triangle.You can do these stretches anywhere-at home or work:
  • Neck roll:Keeping your left shoulder level,stretch your right ear to your right shoulder.Roll your head down so your chin is on your chest.Repeat the stretch on your left side .
  • Shoulder shrug:Lift your shoulders up and make large circles going forward and back.You can rotate one shoulder at a time or stretch only one at a time.
  • Overhead stretch:With one hand,reach up as if your were picking up an apple from a tree slightly ahead .Repeat with the other hand.

Disable the autoloading of applications carefully though. The rule of thumb is that if you don’t know what the app does, don’t disable it.

  • 8. Disable Desktop Shortcuts
Shortcuts on your desktop are a waste. Not only do they increase your computer startup time, they also are an inefficient way to open stuff. There are more efficient ways to access applications, such through the Start Menu, the Quick Launch menu, or through software such as Launchy.
